November 2000The Phthalate Esters Panel of the American Chemistry Council Statement on Environmental Working Group’s A report released by the Environmental Working Group makes unsubstantiated links between a chemical and adverse health effects in women and their male children. The chemical mentioned in the report -- dibutyl phthalate (DBP) -- has been used in consumer products for 100 years.
